Review and grade student evidence
Open an Assessment Review from submitted evidence, apply rubric scores, return for revision, publish feedback, and finalise outcomes.
Before you begin
- Your institution must have Practical Learning available.
- You need a Teaching Assignment on the Course Offering as Lead Lecturer, Lecturer, Grader, Examiner, or Moderator — or institution administration access to the offering.
- Students must have submitted evidence against an Activity Attempt from the Submissions tab.
- Assessment Rubrics (optional but recommended) should be active and attached to the Activity Definition from the Grades tab.
Steps
- Open Institution Workspace and go to the Course Offering.
- Open the Submissions section and find a submitted or resubmitted evidence package.
- Choose Review and grade to open or create an Assessment Review.
- Choose Start review if the review is still pending.
- Enter criterion points (when a rubric is attached), an optional outcome label, student feedback, and optional internal notes.
- Choose Save draft to keep work in progress.
- Choose Publish feedback when the student may see scores and comments, or Return for revision when more work is needed.
- After publishing, choose Finalise outcome to lock the Assessment Review.
What students see
Students with an Academic Enrolment can open published or finalised feedback from the Grades section. Draft scores and internal notes stay invisible until feedback is published.
