This AI Usage Statement explains how Artificial Intelligence ("AI") may be used within the AppliedMode Platform now and in future releases. It is designed to support transparency, academic integrity, and responsible adoption of AI-assisted features.

2. Human Responsibility

AI features are intended to assist, not replace, human judgement. Instructors, administrators, and students remain responsible for verifying outputs, maintaining academic standards, and complying with institutional policies.

3. Where AI May Assist

Depending on institutional configuration and enabled features, AI may assist with tasks such as drafting communications, summarising content, suggesting learning resources, supporting administrative workflows, or providing feedback on non-assessed practice activities.

Specific capabilities will be described in product documentation and institutional settings as features become available.

4. Academic Integrity

Institutions set rules on permitted use of AI in teaching and assessment. Students and instructors must follow those rules. Misuse of AI to misrepresent authorship, circumvent assessment requirements, or gain unfair advantage may constitute academic misconduct.

5. Transparency

Where AI materially contributes to Platform-generated content shown to users, AppliedMode will aim to indicate that AI assistance was involved when practical and appropriate.

6. Data and Privacy

AI features process only the data necessary to deliver the requested function, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, institutional agreements, and applicable law. Institutions may control whether certain AI capabilities are enabled.

7. Limitations

AI outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. They should not be relied upon as sole sources for high-stakes academic, legal, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

8. Future Features

As AI capabilities evolve, AppliedMode may introduce additional features subject to institutional controls and updated documentation. Material changes to how AI is used will be reflected in this statement and communicated through appropriate channels.
