Manage assessment rubrics for a Course Offering
Create offering-scoped Assessment Rubrics with criteria, activate them, and attach them to Activity Definitions from the Grades tab.
Before you begin
- Your institution must have Practical Learning available.
- You need a Teaching Assignment (Lead Lecturer or Lecturer) on the Course Offering, or institution administration access to the offering.
- Activity Definitions should exist before you attach a rubric.
- After rubrics are attached, teaching staff review evidence and publish scores from the Submissions and Grades tabs.
Steps
- Open Institution Workspace and go to the Course Offering.
- Open the Grades section.
- Choose New Assessment Rubric and save a draft title and description.
- Add one or more criteria with maximum points and optional guidance.
- Choose Activate when the criteria are ready. Only draft rubrics can be edited.
- On the active rubric, choose an Activity Definition and Attach rubric.
- Optionally copy an active Assessment Rubric from this or another offering in your institution into this offering as a new draft.
What happens next
Students with an Academic Enrolment can see active rubrics that are attached to activities on the Grades tab. Use Review and grade on submitted evidence to apply scores and publish feedback.
