Configure institution automation rules

Before you begin

• AppliedMode must enable Institution automation for your institution.
• You need institution owner or administrator rights.
• Open Academic → Automation rules.

Automation never copies students between institutions. Rules stay disabled until you enable them. Enrolments created by automation use the Academic Enrolment service only.

Steps

1. Turn on Enable institution automation under Institution settings and save.
2. Create a rule with a clear name, a trigger (for example membership activated or manual preview/apply), and optional offering code.
3. Choose actions such as Enrol in offering or Welcome notifications.
4. Use Preview who will be affected before enabling.
5. Choose Enable rule when the preview looks correct.
6. For manual batches, run Apply (manual). To undo an apply run, use Roll back last automation run (withdraws automation-created enrolments only; it does not delete user accounts).

Tips

• Unknown condition or action keys are rejected.
• Each rule has a maximum number of people affected per run.
• Welcome notifications are sent once per membership.
